Abstract Mario Mushroom

This painted was constructed through different layers of media and techniques. Its is obviously inspired by Super Mario with an abstracted twist. It took a few goes to get the effect I was going for, but in the end I think I like how it turned out. I was trying to create a more artistic piece of art as opposed to a clean Mario character.
