Hawk

This follows a style I have been working on for a little while now, I am really enjoying the process and experimentation involved. These Hawks have the most lovely pattern across their body so it was both challanging and exciting to work it into the style. I have tried to incorporate many Koru type designs into the weave of the background to ground the painting in New Zealand and give it an element of Kiwiana.
