Inked NZ Pigeon

This was part of a series that was commissioned. Each of the New Zealand birds in this set is done in an inked 'tattoo' style. Various outline thickness has been used to create depth. I have always loved how clumsy and elegant these birds look, their colours are really beautiful and they hold themselves with such grace. All the backgrounds are similar with a blue blur and a few hashes.
