Tui Zentangle

This is part of a series of 3 done by request. The brief called for some bold and colourful artwork overlaying a weave of pattern. Triangles were a primary focus and although they are quite subtle, there are many dispersed throughout the 3 paintings. This one in particular is of our native Tui, this bird is very poplar in New Zealand and is know for its beautiful blue, green and turquoise colouring. I places focus on making this one have depth between the feathers, I wanted the bird to really stand out from the background.
