Kereru Zentangle

This is part of a series of 3 done by request. The brief called for some bold and colourful artwork overlaying a weave of pattern. Triangles were a primary focus and although they are quite subtle, there are many dispersed throughout the 3 paintings. This one in particular is of our native Kereru (NZ pigeon) the bird has striking colours that show up differently depending on the light. I chose to place focus on blending between the purples, greens and blues and to make each colour quite prominent.
