Inked Pukeko

This was part of a series in which I call my 'geometric style'. May exaggerated lines and colours form this well loved New Zealand Pukeko. Elements of this style are inspired by tattoo art as well as from the bird itself. I am always drawn to the bright red beak that contrast so well against the blues and purples of its body.
