Ninja Kokako

Ninja Kokako

The black area on the Kokako's face is often refereed to as its 'mask' which got the creative thoughts flowing in relations to their rarity and how they are fighting for their survival. This painting incorporates many elements including the area in which they are being re-established, Otanewainuka Forest. It also pays tribute to the beautiful but extinct Huia as one of the species from its genus.
