Kakapo

The kakapo is the grand winner of New Zealands 'bird of the year' so I thought it was about time I painted one.

I focused this artwork on the Kakapo's eyes as I love how gentle and kind they look. Like many of our native birds, Kakapo's need to be protected as they are now critically endangered.
