Butterfly Zentangle

This is part of a series of 3 done by request. The brief called for some bold and colourful artwork overlaying a weave of pattern. Triangles were a primary focus and although they are quite subtle, there are many dispersed throughout the 3 paintings. This one in particular looks at some of our beautiful butterflies. I tired to keep the colours bold and vibrant while still trying to keep some of the wing definition. The style is quite rough and sketchy so I felt some moments of detail were important.
